Shipping & Delivery
Freight Shipping & Delivery Policy
LUME & TIMBER Co. fulfills all Home Infrastructure orders via specialized LTL Freight to ensure safe transit of oversized, high‑value equipment. This policy outlines how freight shipping works, what to expect, and how to prepare for delivery.
US‑Only Fulfillment
We currently ship exclusively within the contiguous United States. We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or international destinations at this time.
Processing & Lead Times
- Order Processing: 1–3 business days
- Freight Transit Time: 5–9 business days
- Delivery Scheduling: The carrier will call you once your shipment reaches your local terminal.
Tracking information will be emailed to you as soon as your order is dispatched.
Freight Delivery Requirements
Freight delivery differs from standard parcel delivery. Please review the following requirements:
- An adult (18+) must be present to receive and sign for the shipment.
- Standard delivery is curbside. The driver will lower the pallet to the ground but will not move it indoors.
- Driveway or curb access must be clear for a freight truck.
- Pallet and packing material disposal is the customer’s responsibility.
White‑glove or in‑home placement may be available in select regions. Contact us prior to ordering for availability.
Inspecting Your Shipment
To protect your investment, please inspect your shipment before signing the Bill of Lading (BOL):
- Check for visible damage to the crate, pallet, or packaging.
- If damage is present, note it clearly on the BOL before signing.
- Take photos immediately.
- Contact us at support@lumeandtimber.com within 24 hours.
Signing the BOL without notation confirms the shipment was received in good condition.
Missed Delivery & Storage Fees
Freight carriers may charge additional fees for missed appointments, re‑delivery, or extended terminal storage. These fees are the responsibility of the customer.
Backorders & Pre‑Orders
If an item is marked as backordered or pre‑order, estimated lead times will be displayed on the product page. You will receive updates as your unit moves through production.
Address Accuracy
Please ensure your shipping address is correct at checkout. Address changes after dispatch may incur carrier rerouting fees.
